Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has announced the passing of her mother.
The actress broke the news on Wednesday via her Instagram page, where she shared a candlelight image on a broken heart background with the caption: “R.I.P Mum.”
Since the announcement, condolence messages have continued to pour in from colleagues, fans, and friends in the entertainment industry.
The development comes barely two months after fellow Nollywood star, Odunlade Adekola, lost his father, Pastor N.A. Adekola.
Adekola had also taken to Instagram to share a photo of his late father with the caption: “Rest on my daddy.”
While the cause of Aigbe’s mother’s death has not been disclosed, the actress is currently receiving wide support from her colleagues and admirers.
