Winner of Big Brother Naija season seven, Ijeoma Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has stirred reactions online after speaking on cosmetic surgery, particularly the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), during a recent livestream.
Phyna addressed criticisms often aimed at former reality TV contestants, saying people’s opinions on cosmetic procedures are largely influenced by their financial situation rather than moral standards.
She maintained that many critics would make the same decisions if they had the means.

“You always say once someone wins Big Brother or goes on the show, they start doing things to their body. My dear, if you had money, do you know what you would do? Imagine you had N20 million, you’re not even using as a woman, you would go and have surgery. Don’t let anybody deceive you.
“It’s because you are broke. Even me, I admit it’s because of money. It’s nothing else, I swear to God, I won’t lie to you.
“Right now, your thinking is clouded. You’re wondering,‘Why are they doing this?’ My sister, it’s the money you don’t have that’s why you’re criticizing it. Don’t worry, if money comes your way, you will do it too,” she said.
