TikTok star, David ‘D4vd’ Anthony Burke, arrested on suspicion of teen girl’s murder

TikTok star and US singer D4vd has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a teenage girl.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the 21-year-old, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, is being held without bail. His case will be presented to prosecutors on Monday.

Police said the arrest is linked to the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, 14, who was reported missing in 2024.

Her remains were found on September 8, 2025, inside a Tesla connected to Burke. Officers had responded to reports of a foul smell from the car, which had been left for weeks in an impound yard.

Court documents said parts of her body were found in the vehicle’s front trunk. Officials described the remains as “severely decomposed.” The cause of death has not been confirmed.

Burke had been under investigation for months and was named as a target in a grand jury probe in December.

His lawyers said: “Let us be clear – the actual evidence in this case will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death.

“There has been no indictment returned by any grand jury in this case and no criminal complaint filed. David has only been detained under suspicion. We will vigorously defend David’s innocence.”

Police have not confirmed any direct link between Burke and the girl. The investigation is ongoing.
