The official trailer for Street Fighter has been released, giving fans their first look at the new live-action adaptation of the popular video game series.
The reboot features Noah Centineo, Jason Momoa and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson among a large ensemble cast bringing the iconic characters to life.
Released on Thursday, April 16 by Paramount Pictures and Legendary, the film marks a new attempt to adapt Capcom’s long-running fighting game franchise for the big screen. It follows earlier versions released in 1994 and 2009, News.Az reports, citing People.
Noah Centineo plays Ken Masters, while Andrew Koji stars as Ryu. Both fighters are pulled into a global tournament filled with intense battles.

“Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Koji, 38) and Ken Masters are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury,” the official synopsis reads. “But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER!”
Jason Momoa appears as Blanka, while 50 Cent plays Balrog. The cast also includes Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoai as Akuma, Cody Rhodes as Guile, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Eric André as Don Sauvage and others.
Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film is backed by Paramount Pictures, Legendary Entertainment and Capcom.
Production notes say the movie aims to bring classic arcade action to film, “with Hadoukens, roundhouses, and all your favorite characters.”
Street Fighter is set for theatrical release on October 16, 2026.
