Tunisia offered Chelle $100000 per month to leave the Super Eagles after AFCON 2025, according to Peterside Idah, who says the coach is keen on the move and attracted by World Cup prospects.

Tunisia offered Chelle $100,000, he wants to go — Idah

Tunisia has offered Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle a monthly salary of $100,000, and the coach is keen on taking up the offer, according to former Super Eagles media officer, Peterside Idah.

Idah claimed that Chelle is considering leaving his position after the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, following interest from Tunisia ahead of the next international cycle.

Speaking on Channels TV, Idah said the financial package, alongside the prospect of leading a team with a strong chance of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, could sway the coach’s decision.

“I hear he wants to go to Tunisia,” Idah said. “They have offered him a $100,000 per month. Not just that, he will make a name and that name is being a coach of a World Cup side.”

The Super Eagles are set to conclude their AFCON 2025 campaign on Saturday with a third-place playoff clash against Egypt, after which Chelle’s future is expected to become clearer.
