Senior Pastor of Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, Chris Okafor, did not appear before the Lagos State Police on Monday despite being formally invited over allegations bordering on sexual misconduct and other offences capable of disrupting public order.
The pastor was scheduled to report to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Lagos, by 10:00 a.m. to meet with the Deputy Commissioner of Police handling the case.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, said on Sunday that the Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, had ordered a thorough investigation into complaints lodged against the cleric.

Confirming his absence, a senior police officer at the SCID said Okafor failed to honour the invitation.
“He was expected today for questioning following the commissioner’s directive, but he did not show up,” the officer said.
Another police source disclosed that individuals linked to the pastor contacted the command to request additional time.
“They reached out asking for an extension and gave assurances that he would present himself at a later date,” the source said.
