A 25-year-old man, Abubakar Musa, has been arrested by operatives of the Ajuwon division of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly killing two people and injuring three others in Ifo Local Government Area.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 1:38 a.m. on Tuesday in Olambe community, following a failed business transaction. Musa allegedly attacked the victims with a knife.
Two of the victims, 25-year-old Gbadamasi Ibrahim and 40-year-old Chinedu, were confirmed dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Three others — 35-year-old Mohammed Abubakar, and 25-year-olds Ashiru Adamu and Paul Lawrence — sustained critical injuries but are responding to treatment.

Police Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, disclosed that the victims were stabbed while attempting to calm the angry suspect.
He added that Musa initially fled the scene but was later apprehended by detectives.
“On Tuesday, 7th April 2026, at about 0138hrs, the suspect stabbed five people. Two of them, Gbadamasi Ibrahim and Chinedu, died while being taken to the hospital.
The other three victims are in critical condition but responding to treatment,” Babaseyi said.
The suspect is currently in police custody, and the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation and prosecution.
Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, condemned the attack, assuring that justice would be served. He also urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious or violent behaviour to the authorities.
