American businesswoman and TV personality Martha Stewart has become a minority co-owner of Swansea City, the Welsh club announced on Tuesday.
Stewart, who made history as the first female self-made billionaire in the U.S., attended Swansea’s recent 2-1 Championship win over Wrexham, enjoying her first live experience of a match.
“We are very excited to welcome Martha on board,” the club said in a statement. “Seeing Friday night’s game in person has only increased her enthusiasm for being part of Swansea City.”

She joins a roster of celebrity co-owners at the club, including rapper Snoop Dogg, who came on board in July, and Ballon d’Or winner Luka Modric, who invested in April.
Swansea, currently 19th in the Championship, will take on league leaders Coventry City later this Friday.
