I sing for devil, not God — Terry G

Nigerian singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has dismissed viral reports claiming that he is dead.

In a now-deleted video posted on his social media page, the “Akpako Master” confirmed that he is alive and in good health, urging fans to disregard the false rumours.

“My phone has been buzzing since morning. People have been calling to check up on me. They saw something online about my R.I.P, saying Terry G don die. I came to clear your conscience. I’m very fine, please stop spreading that news,” he said.

The singer also addressed renewed attention on an old clip from The Honest Bunch Podcast, where he stated that secular musicians “sing for the devil.”

In his words:

“I’m not a gospel musician, I’m sorry. I’m a secular musician. I sing for the devil. We don’t glorify God, and it’s my business. So, you people don’t know before? I’m serving the devil; he made me successful.”

Terry G concluded by reassuring fans of his wellbeing, saying he remains “very sound and healthy,” while calling for an end to the fake death reports.
