A 200-level student of Abia State University, Ifeanyi Mmesoma Miracle, has died in a fatal road accident in Uturu, Abia State.
The accident happened on Sunday along the Okigwe/Afikpo Expressway.
The Abia State Police Command confirmed that one suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Police spokesperson, Maureen Chioma Chinaka, said the crash involved two motorcycles that collided head-on, throwing passengers onto the road before a truck hit the victim.
“The command is aware of the incident, which occurred at the Water Board area of Uturu on April 19, 2026. Two motorcycles were involved in a head-on collision, causing passengers to be thrown onto the road. This led to the death of Miss Ifeanyi Mmesoma Miracle, who was run over by a moving Mack truck,” she said.

She added that police officers from the Motor Traffic Department visited the scene.
Injured victims were taken to the hospital and are receiving treatment.
The remains of the deceased have been released to her family after a doctor confirmed her death.
Police also recovered the motorcycles and the truck involved in the crash.
One suspect is in custody, while efforts continue to arrest two others linked to the incident.
