GWR: Dominika Gasparova sets new record for fastest time to peel, slice pineapple

Dominika Gasparova of Slovakia has broken the Guinness World Records mark for the fastest time to peel and slice a pineapple, completing the task in just 11.43 seconds.

The record was set on 10 December 2025 in Wisbech, United Kingdom, during an official attempt conducted in association with Del Monte (UK). Guinness World Records confirmed that Gasparova’s time eclipsed the previous benchmark of 17.85 seconds.

The feat followed an internal Del Monte challenge involving 10 employees skilled in pineapple preparation. After a series of preliminary heats, Gasparova emerged as the fastest contender with a qualifying time of 12.03 seconds, earning the opportunity to make the official attempt before a Guinness World Records adjudicator.

Under the rules, she was required to peel the pineapple and cut the fruit into chunks no larger than 3.8 centimetres. Her first official run met all requirements and comfortably surpassed the existing record.

Guinness World Records later confirmed the result, stating that Gasparova’s 11.43-second performance now stands as the fastest time ever recorded for peeling and slicing a pineapple.
