Gospel singer Gaise Baba has emerged as Nigeria’s most-watched music artist on YouTube in 2025, led by the massive success of his video No Turning Back II, featuring Pastor Lawrence Oyor.
The video, embraced widely within the Christian community, has amassed 41 million views in just six months, alongside 397,000 likes and more than 22,000 comments. Celebrating the achievement on Instagram, Gaise credited his collaborators and faith for the milestone:
“Big shout out to pastor Lawrence Oyor and that warrior congregation of David Generation Church. See what the Lord has done with our simple obedience. Of a truth, we shift the culture,” he said.
Other top-performing music videos included Shallipopi’s Laho and Davido and Omah Lay’s With You. On the creators’ chart, actress Omoni Oboli led the rankings, followed by Ibrahim Yekini’s Itelediconstudio and Uchenna Mbunabo’s Uchenna Mbunabo TV.

Addy Awofisayo, YouTube’s head of music for Sub-Saharan Africa, noted the growing global reach of Nigerian content, saying 70% of watch time came from viewers outside the country. He added,
“Television screens have become the new frontier, with watch time on YouTube content via TVs in Nigeria growing nearly 40 per cent in 2025. YouTube remains committed to equipping creators with the skills to build sustainable media businesses through training, workshops, and strategic partnerships.”
