‘Failing isn’t failure’, Kim Kardashian says after not meeting bar exam cut-off

American reality TV star and entrepreneur, Kim Kardashian, has opened up about her latest setback on her journey to becoming a lawyer after revealing that she did not pass the California Bar Exam.

Sharing the update via her Instagram Story on Saturday, the 44-year-old expressed her determination to keep pushing forward despite the disappointment.

“No giving up, just more studying and determination,” she wrote.

Kim, who has been pursuing her law degree for six years, said that coming close to the pass mark only strengthened her resolve to succeed.

“Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts. Failing short isn’t failure; it is fuel. I was so close to passing the exam, and that only motivated me even more. Let’s go!” she added.

The media personality sat for the California Bar Exam on July 29 and 30, 2025, as part of her ongoing efforts to follow in her late father Robert Kardashian’s footsteps, who was a prominent lawyer.

Despite this latest result, Kim Kardashian reaffirmed that her goal remains unchanged, to earn her license to practice law and advocate for justice reform.
