Couple’s post-fight makeup video stir mixed reactions online

A couple’s TikTok video showing how they make up after a heated argument has triggered mixed reactions online after it surfaced on X following Valentine’s Day.

The clip, which has been widely shared since late Saturday, appears to capture the aftermath of an earlier video the couple reportedly recorded but did not post. A love-themed background seen in the footage suggests the moment may have started as a romantic surprise before it turned into a disagreement.

In the video, the man is heard insisting that the woman should apologise over an issue linked to the earlier recording. The woman, however, refused to take blame, maintaining that she had done nothing wrong as the argument intensified.

At some point, the man walked away from the scene in frustration, but the tension later eased when the woman offered an apology, adding that she would not go beyond that if he refused to let the matter rest.

Shortly after, the man returned and the couple switched from arguing to being affectionate, recording another video together almost immediately.

The woman later posted the clip with the caption:

“when people ask how we tolerate each other but this is literally us everytime after a fight”

The post has since sparked debate, with many viewers split on whether the couple’s behaviour was normal or a sign of deeper relationship issues.

Reacting, one user, @mikeoriv, wrote:

“Can’t believe they settled so fast men”

Another user, @victorCsylvanus, criticised the exchange, saying:

“This is not even about argument or relationship fight, she has no respect for him at all.”

However, @akinboulex took a different view, stating:

“It’s not about the fight, it’s how you fight and settle the fight that matters”

Others expressed concern about the tone of the argument, with @onyekwere_Joy_ writing:

“Toxicity at its peak!!

When people see red flags, instead of exiting they decide to ignore them and just hope a miracle happens”

User @LOSGIDDY also described the clip as confusing but entertaining, saying:

“Lmfaoooo toxic as hell but the strange part is that it’s also kind of cute”

Meanwhile, @RayGoodison warned against normalising such confrontations, adding:

“It’s okay to disagree with your spouse… But when you start throwing vulgarities and jibes around… Then you’re not fit to be entangled with anyone in whatever form”

The viral clip has once again drawn attention to how couples increasingly share private relationship moments online, often sparking public debate over what should be considered normal or unhealthy behaviour.
