Premier League: Arsenal thrash Tottenham 4-1

Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to six points after a commanding 4-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in Sunday’s North London Derby.

The Gunners entered the clash fully aware that title rivals Manchester City and Liverpool had both slipped up earlier in the day—City falling 2-1 to Newcastle United, while Liverpool suffered a shocking 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at Anfield.

Mikel Arteta’s men wasted no time asserting dominance, racing to a two-goal lead before halftime.
Leandro Trossard opened the scoring, with Eberechi Eze adding a superb second to put Arsenal firmly in control.

Eze struck again immediately after the restart and later completed his hat-trick, sealing all three points for the league leaders.

Arsenal now sit on 29 points, six clear of second-placed Chelsea, who they are set to face next in the league.
