Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON), has announced the release of 38 kidnapped worshippers who were abducted during an attack on Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Eruku, in Ekiti Local Government Area of the state.
Governor AbdulRazaq attributed the successful rescue operation entirely to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s swift and hands-on intervention, describing the President’s role as decisive in securing the victims’ freedom.
The abductees regained their freedom today, November 23, after several days of coordinated efforts by security agencies and government officials.
According to the Governor, President Tinubu personally led the rescue efforts, even calling off his scheduled trip to the G20 Meeting in South Africa to address the security breaches in both Kwara and Kebbi States. He also ordered increased security deployments across Kwara, reaffirming his commitment to the safety and wellbeing of Nigerians.
