Hon. Blessing Onuh, a member of the House of Representatives and daughter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Chairman, Senator David Mark, has joined the leadership of a pro-Tinubu campaign organisation, signalling support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election at a sensitive political moment.
The development comes amid shifting political alignments, placing the daughter of a prominent opposition figure within the president’s re-election effort and raising fresh questions about cohesion within the ADC as the 2027 race begins to take shape.
Onuh was appointed National Woman Leader of the Take Action Campaign Organisation, with the announcement made on Saturday by its Director General, Tony Nwulu, a former lawmaker who sponsored the ‘Not Too Young To Run’ bill in the 8th National Assembly.
He presented her appointment letter at the organisation’s campaign office in Abuja.
“I pledge to work tirelessly to ensure President Tinubu’s victory at the upcoming election,” Onuh said.
Her role places her within a campaign structure focused on advancing the president’s second-term bid, despite her father’s position as a leading figure in an opposition coalition under the ADC.
“This organisation is focused on showcasing the various achievements and educating the Nigerian masses on the reforms and policies of Mr President,” she added.

The timing underscores growing tensions within the opposition. Mark, as ADC chairman, is central to efforts to build a broad coalition to challenge Tinubu’s re-election, alongside figures such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former governors Peter Obi, Rotimi Amaechi, Rauf Aregbesola, Aminu Tambuwal, Liyel Imoke and Emeka Ihedioha. However, the alliance has already shown signs of internal strain.
The coalition recently faced a setback when Atiku’s son, Abba Abubakar, defected to the ruling APC in January, pledging support for Tinubu’s second-term bid and directing his political structure to mobilise for the president.
Onuh’s alignment with a pro-Tinubu group adds to concerns over the opposition’s ability to maintain a united front ahead of the election.
Meanwhile, Nwulu said the Take Action Campaign Organisation would focus on promoting the administration’s achievements and explaining its policies under the Renewed Hope Agenda to voters nationwide.
