Dapo Abiodun has disclosed that revenue from Olumo Rock has increased significantly following its refurbishment, rising from between ₦3 million and ₦4 million annually to about ₦40 million monthly.
The governor said the historic tourism site was temporarily shut down for a comprehensive upgrade aimed at improving its facilities and boosting tourism potential.
According to him, the investment has now begun to yield results, with the site recording a sharp rise in monthly earnings since reopening.

“When I assumed office, Olumo Rock was generating between ₦3 million and ₦4 million annually. I temporarily shut it down for comprehensive refurbishment. Today, Olumo Rock now generates roughly ₦40 million monthly,” he said.
Olumo Rock remains one of Ogun State’s major tourist attractions, drawing both local and international visitors to its historic site.
