MTN Nigeria has extended the application deadline for its Media Innovation Programme (MIP) to April 25, 2026, offering applicants extra time to complete submissions.
The company said the extension is aimed at accommodating more qualified media professionals and digital creators interested in the fully funded fellowship.
“We want to ensure that no eligible candidate misses the opportunity due to time constraints,” MTN Nigeria said in a statement, describing the programme as a key part of its support for the country’s media sector.
The 2026 edition will admit 25 fellows, up from 20 in previous cohorts, marking an expansion tied to the company’s 25th anniversary.
Run in partnership with Pan-Atlantic University, the six-month programme focuses on strengthening innovation, storytelling, and digital skills among participants.
Selected fellows will undergo training at the university’s School of Media and Communication, alongside industry sessions and an international study trip that includes engagements at the University of Johannesburg.
MTN noted that the programme has, since its launch in 2022, produced alumni who now play active roles across Nigeria’s media landscape.
Applications remain open online. Interested applicants can apply via https://mtnmip.smc.edu.ng/, with the new cohort expected to commence in May 2026.
