Coachella 2026: Davido set to represent Nigeria on global stage

Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido is set to represent Nigeria at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, becoming the only Nigerian act on this year’s lineup.

The festival organisers have released the official set times for the 2026 edition. Davido is scheduled to perform on Saturday, April 11, and Saturday, April 18.

The event will run across two weekends, April 10–12 and April 17–19, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Fans who cannot attend will be able to watch the performances live on YouTube.

Davido was earlier billed for Coachella 2019 but missed out due to visa issues. His 2026 appearance marks his long-awaited debut on the global stage.

The festival has hosted some of the world’s biggest stars since it began in 1999, including Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, and Eminem.

For 2026, headliners include Sabrina Carpenter, Karol G, and Justin Bieber.

Afrobeats has also continued to grow at Coachella. Nigerian acts like Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, and Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 have all performed at the festival. In 2024, Tems became the first Nigerian female artist to perform, earning global attention.

Davido’s appearance adds another major moment for Afrobeats as it continues to expand its global reach.
