Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, on Saturday celebrated his 72nd birthday with a thanksgiving service at St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Gboko, Benue State. He was seen publicly with his new wife, Queen Zaynab Ngohemba-George Akume Dajoh.
The public appearance came just 24 hours after a family member reportedly confirmed their marriage.
In a statement, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF), Segun Imohiosen, noted that Akume used the occasion to emphasise that “accountability among the three tiers of government” remains central to sustainable national development.
According to the statement, the SGF insisted that “national development is a collective responsibility, requiring the synergy of all three tiers of government.”
