Nigerian TikTok sensation, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has achieved a remarkable milestone after earning $70,000 from a single TikTok live match. The feat, described as one of the highest single-session earnings by an African creator, has drawn widespread attention across social media.
During the brief five-minute session, Peller received more than 11 million coins in viewer gifts, valued at about $143,000. Following TikTok’s revenue-sharing structure, which deducts around 50 percent of creator earnings, Peller’s take-home payout is expected to be no less than $70,000.
The stream, which attracted over 121,000 viewers globally, has now been dubbed a historic moment for African content creators.

In a celebratory video, Peller credited his breakthrough to Nathaniel Bassey’s Hallelujah Challenge, explaining that he had joined the popular online worship session the night before his viral stream.
“Hallelujah Challenge dey work. God bless Nathaniel Bassey. I come your church yesterday night. I come meet you, I text you for Instagram live…” he said joyfully while celebrating his success.
As part of his thanksgiving, the 21-year-old entertainer offered prayers for Bassey, describing his record-breaking TikTok moment as evidence of divine favour.
Peller’s achievement further solidifies his status as one of Africa’s most influential digital creators and underscores the growing global reach of Nigerian content on TikTok.
