Tyson Fury says his boxing career is officially over, insisting that even a £1bn offer wouldn’t tempt him back into the ring. The former heavyweight champion reflects on his legacy and final retirement.

Tyson Fury: £1bn not enough to get me back in the ring

Tyson Fury says his boxing career is officially over and no amount of money can change that.

The 37-year-old former world heavyweight champion insists he has “no reason” to return to the sport, even if offered £1 billion. Fury hasn’t fought since his rematch loss to Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024 and announced his retirement the following month.

Speaking on FurociTV, the Gypsy King said he’s content with what he’s achieved. “I’m 37 years old, I’ve been punched for 25 years, what do I want to go back for? I’ve got more money than I can spend, every belt there is, and it doesn’t make me any happier,” he said.

He admitted the thrill of the chase meant more than the glory itself. “The climb was better than the mountain peak,” Fury reflected.

Having previously retired in 2022 before making a brief return, Tyson Fury insists this decision is final. “You could offer me £1bn today and it wouldn’t move the needle,” he said. “Boxing doesn’t take any prisoners. I’ve done well, and I don’t want to tempt fate.”
