Muyiwa Adekeye, Media Adviser to former Kaduna State Governor Malam Nasir El-Rufai, on Thursday alleged that security agents tried to arrest the former governor.
Adekeye said the attempt occurred when El-Rufai arrived on a flight from Cairo. According to him, the former governor refused to go with the agents because they did not present a formal invitation.

In a statement, Adekeye added that the agents took El-Rufai’s international passport from one of his aides at the airport.
The statement reads: “Security agents today attempted to arrest Malam Nasir elrufai as he arrived on a flight from Cairo.
“Malam El-Rufai declined to follow them without a formal Invitation. They however snatched his passport from an aide.”
