A young woman wearing an orange top and black trousers has allegedly been caught swapping customers’ ATM cards and withdrawing money from their bank accounts.
In a viral video uploaded on Facebook by a user identified as Daini Don on Wednesday morning, the woman was seen surrounded by policemen, eyewitnesses, and a bank security guard, who demanded that she face the camera.
In the footage, one of the policemen was heard saying, “Open your eyes, raise up your head. Abeg, wetin she do? Fine girl like this, swap people’s ATM card, kon dey withdraw their money.”
Another eyewitness, speaking in a mix of English and Yoruba, added, “You see this girl, olee ni ooo, owa si bank, owa swap ATM.”
The bank security personnel could also be seen expressing anger, reportedly insisting that the suspect should be arrested and taken to the police station for further investigation.
At the time of filing this report, neither the identity of the suspect nor the specific bank involved had been officially confirmed. Police authorities have yet to issue a statement regarding the alleged incident.
