TikTok power couple: Peller clarifies money laundering comment about Jarvis

Popular TikTok creator, Hamzat Habeeb, better known as Peller, has clarified his earlier comments that appeared to suggest his partner, Amadou Elizabeth, popularly known as Jarvis or Jadrolita, was involved in money laundering.

In a new video shared on his TikTok page, Peller explained that he misunderstood the term “money laundering” and only repeated what people had written in the comments section during a live session.

“I didn’t even know what that money la¥ndering means or what it can be used to do,” he said. “You guys are the ones who write it in the comments. I asked someone, and they explained to me that when someone gifts you on TikTok and then you gift them back, that is what Jarvis does.”

Peller clarified that he was referring to TikTok’s gifting and exchange system, not any form of criminal activity. He admitted that his comments were made out of emotion and that he never intended to tarnish Jarvis’ image.

“Jarvis and I aren’t involved in money lāundary. What I meant was Jarvis gifts back the gifts she receives to other creators,” he said. “I talked out of emotion and I would never tarnish Jarvis’ image. I talked out of anger. I didn’t know the meaning of money lāundary.”

His remarks come after his earlier statements sparked a wave of social media reactions, with many accusing him of falsely implicating Jarvis. The controversy had prompted Jarvis’ management, Aiso Entertainment, to issue a strong warning and threaten legal action over the damaging claims.

Peller’s latest clarification has stirred mixed reactions online, with some users accusing him of backtracking and others urging him to be more careful with his words during livestreams.

“Guy, the person beside you was cautioning you from saying it. Now you wanna come around and say you didn’t know what it meant? Do better, man.”

Another, @luxury_hair_by_cheta, added:

“If you don’t know the meaning of a word, then don’t use it. Nonsense and ingredients.”

Despite the backlash, the TikTok couple appears to have moved past the incident, as both have been seen interacting positively in recent posts.
