Scam Alert: StreetNetNgr reader shares encounter with fraudulent data seller

A StreetNetNgr reader has shared his encounter with a fraudulent online data seller with juicy prices for data bundle.

The fraudster, using company name, GlobalTech Digital Network Packages, says he offers MTN 3gb for N1,000 which normally sells for N1,650 and other networks with unbelievable offers has been scamming unsuspecting Nigerians for long.

While sharing his story with StreetNetNgr user who decided to test the waters with N1,000 9Mobile data for 4gb, explained that the fraudster, Frank Chibuzo, with Acct No: 9989008846 Diamond Bank, assured him of his data after 2minutes of payment, which he did.

“At first, he denied receiving the money and asked for proof of payment, which i gladly showed him via his whatsapp number, he insisted that he didn’t get it, saying network issue might have prevented it.

“I became uncomfortable when he asked me to resend and when he gets the two alerts, he would refund me, but I told him no that the payment has been confirmed.

“He played himself out when he said 9Mobile had suspended share data for 4gb that the least is now 8gb, implying that I pay extra to get it,” he said.

The victim added that “When he saw that I was bent on getting me data, he blocked me and just as I was about saving his dp, he replaced it.”
