Billionaire businessman and politician, Senator Ned Nwoko, has sparked fresh reactions online after declaring that he feels sorry for men who have only one wife.
Nwoko, who is married to Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and several other women, made the statement while addressing ongoing conversations about polygamy and his marriage.
The senator noted that having multiple wives brings peace and balance to a man’s life, adding that monogamous men often face more pressure and loneliness.
“I feel sorry for men with one wife. They are really missing out,” he said.
Dismissing rumours that he mistreats or controls his actress wife, Nwoko described his relationship with Regina as one built on mutual respect and understanding.
“People have this misconception about polygamy and my marriage. Regina is happy, I am happy, and we understand each other perfectly,” he added.

His remarks have since gone viral, stirring mixed reactions among Nigerians. While some supported his stance, others accused him of using wealth and influence to justify polygamy.
Nwoko, however, maintained that polygamy is not a problem but a choice and that many men secretly desire it but lack the courage to embrace it.
