The fanfair at the Ekiti State All Progressive Congress (APC) primaries for the upcoming gubernatorial election has been marred by heavy downpour as canopies were destroyed in the process.
This didn’t however stopped the process as Minister of Solid Minerals and former governor of the state, Kayode Fayemi was captured casting his votes.
No less than 13 serious contenders are vying for the party’s singular ticket in the July election among which are former governors, commissioners and other strong party members.
It remains to be seen how the APC will wrestle the ruling party, Ayodele Fayose-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to reclaim mandate in the state.
