A tragic incident has shaken the Okitipupa community in Ondo State after a 28-year-old man allegedly killed his three siblings with a machete.
The victims have been identified as Bose Agbeye, Dupe Agbeye, and Blessing Agbeye. The attack reportedly happened while their father, who later reported the case to the police, was away from home.
Residents gathered at the scene on Tuesday, expressing grief over the loss. According to the spokesman of the Ondo State Police Command, Abayomi Jimoh, officers were deployed shortly after the report was made.
“Upon arrival, operatives found the victims lifeless. Their bodies were evacuated and taken to the State Specialist Hospital Morgue in Okitipupa for preservation and autopsy,” Jimoh stated.

The suspect, identified as Femi Agbeye, was arrested the same day and is expected to be charged to court after investigations are concluded.
Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, condemned the act and assured the public that justice will be pursued. He also urged residents to remain calm and support the investigation by sharing useful information.
The incident has left the community in mourning and raised concerns about the need for stronger awareness and intervention in preventing such cases.
