In response to a viral allegation that he turned down N10 million to back the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2023 general elections, popular veteran Nollywood actor Nkem Owoh, commonly known as Osuofia, has responded.
The actor Nkem Owoh reportedly stated that N10 million could not purchase his support for Tinubu since the election of 2023 was crucial for the general welfare of all citizens and would never be sold, according to some Tweets that surfaced on Monday.

This raised rumors that the veteran had turned down a N10 million deal to support the APC nominee.
Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed of the Labour Party (LP), who is running for vice president, responded to the tweets by writing, “I have always known Nkem Owoh as a superb actor, but didn’t even know he also had standard and integrity.”
Osofia denied having any interest in politics when Sahara Reporters contacted him to confirm the rumors that he declined the APC offer.
“I don’t want to confirm it, I am not interested in politics,” he told the publication on Tuesday afternoon.
