The chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, has apologised to Nigerians following a sanction from the world governing body, FIFA, over the fielding of Shehu Abdullahi without approval.
Pinnick apologised on his Twitter wall and Nigerians had their reservations while majority saw his apology as leadership stuff, others, were quick to ask if he’d resign.

Good morning. I'll start by tendering my wholehearted apology to Nigeria and Nigerians for the Shehu Abdullahi error. It is unforgivable and could have undone months of hard work. As head of the Federation, I take responsibility for this. It happened on my watch.
