Anona, a graduate of Federal Polytechnic, Oko and native of Njikoka in Anambra State, reportedly lured his victim into his one rented room apartment on Itu Road, Uyo and gave him some poisoned food which made him (Daniel) to fall into a deep sleep.
The convict then used a sharp matchet to severe Solomon’s head, legs, hands and the abdomen. He then carefully packed them into different bags and secretly dumped them into gutters and other places.
After he was nabbed, Anona was charged before a magistrate’s court in the state. Due to the gravity of the case, the court ordered the remand of the accused person in Uyo Prison and, consequently, transferred the case to the High court.
He reportedly pleaded not guilty to the one count charge of murder levelled against him.
