Manchester City’s recent problems continued as they were shocked 3-1 by Bodø/Glimt in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The Norwegian side, playing at home, took control early when Kasper Høgh scored twice in the first half. Jens Petter Hauge added a third goal early in the second half.
City managed to pull one back through Rayan Cherki, but their hopes faded quickly when Rodri was sent off for two yellow cards in under a minute.
Bodø coach Kjetil Knutsen said his team planned to counter-attack and stay dangerous on the break
“We planned to counter-attack and be clinical when we had chances,” Knutsen said. “We believed we could win.”

Høgh’s brace came after two mistakes from City’s defence, and his goals left the visitors chasing the game.
City striker Erling Haaland admitted the result was disappointing.
“Bodø fully deserved to win, it’s not good enough. They play fantastic football,” Haaland told Norway’s TV2.
He added:
“We played well until they score the first goal, and then they score again, and then Jens scores an all-time great goal and we get a red card.”
Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton described the match as “an embarrassing night for them” on the BBC.
The defeat is City’s second heavy blow in as many games, following a 2-0 loss to Manchester United in the Premier League at the weekend. The result left Guardiola’s side struggling for form domestically as they now face mounting pressure in both competitions.
The loss leaves City fourth in their group, while Bodø remain in contention for a spot in the knockout stage.
City now face Galatasaray at home on January 28 and must win to improve their chances of reaching the last 16.
