A pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Francis Aduh Ojo, has reportedly died in a road accident in Makurdi, Benue State, while trying to escape an attack by suspected bandits.
The incident happened on Thursday, February 12, 2026, as the cleric was said to be returning from a crusade programme in Makurdi when he allegedly ran into armed men along the route.
His nephew, Abuja Richard Enemona, confirmed the death in a Facebook post shared on Friday, describing the moment the pastor encountered the attackers.
“My Uncle was coming from Makurdi yesterday after a crusade and he ran into bandits and was trying to escape but had an accident and died immediately,” Enemona wrote.
He added that the pastor died on the spot, leaving family members and residents of their community devastated.
“Until his death, he was a pastor serving in Dunamis church. Since morning my family and entire community was thrown into a heavy tear,” he said.
“Rest well uncle Pastor Abraham Francis Aduh Ojo,” Enemona added.
