Transparency and accountability are key components of governance. It is with this in mind that the administration of Hon Kunle Sayaolu Olowoopejo presents its stewardship report over Egbe Idimu Local Council Development Area.

The Administration, which came into being on July 25, 2017, having been democratically elected in June 2017. In less than four months in office, the administration has swung into full action and already delivering on campaign promises.

In works and infrastructure, there has been construction of drainages system at Ifelodun street, grading of road at Kosemani (Phase11), provision of boredom potable water at Rasheed Bello and Kusimo streets, as well as renovation of Agodo Primary Health Care Centre, Council Secretariat entrance, Council annex building and offices, among others. Some of these projects have been completed while others are ongoing.

Hon Olowoopejo’s holistic approach to community development reflects in various development oriented projects that cut across sectors. The Council under his watch has allocated acres of land of farmers association to drive food security and diversification.

Environment and Sanitation are not left out, Egbe Idimu LCDA has replicated the Cleaner Lagos Initiative launched by the Lagos State Government earlier this year. As a result, heaps of refuse in Oladun Road, Kudaki and Council markets have been appropriately removed with programs to sustain cleaner environment in place.

There has also been drive towards improving standard of education with approved plan to renovate public schools and provide facilities that aid teaching and learning for both teachers and pupils. Furthermore on capacity building, vocational and skills acquisitions championed by Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation department has enjoyed great support from the Olowoopejo led administration in Egbe Idimu.
