Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B has officially confirmed she is expecting a baby with her boyfriend, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
The rapper revealed the news during a candid chat with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, released Wednesday, September 17.
“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend Stefon Diggs,” Cardi said, marking their first child together.

The couple went public with their romance earlier this year, shortly after Cardi’s highly publicized split from fellow rapper Offset, with whom she shares three children, daughters Kulture and Blossom, and son Wave.
Speaking about this new chapter in her life, the 31-year-old star said she feels empowered and supported:
“I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work while creating a baby,” she explained, adding that Diggs has been her biggest encourager.
Cardi also admitted the pregnancy hasn’t been without challenges. She shared that she suffered a panic attack just weeks ago due to the pressure surrounding her upcoming album rollout.
Still, the rapper kept her trademark humor, joking that fans should support her new project, Am I the Drama?
“Now y’all could buy my album so I can buy Pampers and diapers and all that type of stuff,” she laughed. “Go support my album, ’cause I’m a mother of four now.”
According to her, the pregnancy announcement was delayed because she wanted to “close some deals first.” She also playfully confessed she hasn’t told her parents yet, admitting she’s “scared of them.”
Rumors of Cardi’s pregnancy had been swirling for weeks, sparked by her public appearances and pointed media questions. At one point, she even threw a pen at a reporter who pressed her outside a Manhattan courthouse.
Despite once doubting she could love again after her divorce, Cardi said Diggs convinced her to take a chance.
“Let me heal you. Give me a chance for me to heal you,” she recalled him saying.
With her relationship blossoming and her sophomore album ready to drop, Cardi says her music now feels complete:
“I feel like it touches every little thing I want to touch. And I just feel like it’s something that is not out there right now.”
