Nollywood actress, Annie Macaulay, has sparked reactions with a post many believe points to her broken marriage with music icon, Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia.
She stated this in a text image posted on her Instagram story on Monday.
It reads, “I hope my daughter doesn’t accept things I’ve accepted, that she knows her worth from the start, and that no matter what, she always has me in her corner.”

The post quickly went viral, with fans linking it to the challenges she faced in her relationship with 2Baba.
The actress confirmed her separation from the singer in May 2025 at the 17th Headies Awards in Atlanta. While on stage with Farooq Oreagba, she introduced herself as “Annie Idi…” before correcting to “Annie Macaulay.” She later joked, “Hey, single ladies!” a statement that drew applause and sealed the news of her breakup.
2Baba had earlier made it official in January 2025, ending a relationship many once considered one of Nigeria’s biggest celebrity love stories.
The pair got married in 2013 after more than 10 years together and have two daughters. But their marriage was often overshadowed by controversies, especially 2Baba’s ties with Pero Adeniyi and Sunmbo Adeoye, both mothers of his children.
