A viral video currently making the rounds on social media has captured the moment a young lady joined the popular Hallelujah Challenge right inside a Lagos nightclub.
In the short clip, the woman, surrounded by flashing lights and loud club music, was seen raising her hands in worship while the gospel challenge played from her phone. Other partygoers, seemingly unfazed, continued dancing to the booming club beats.
The unusual scene quickly went viral, sparking mixed reactions online. While some found it hilarious, others questioned if it was the right time and place for such an act.
One user commented, “Obviously praying her way out of that job… she knows she doesn’t belong there.”
Another wrote, “Una dey whine God or what? I don’t get it! This is all shades of wrong ‘cause WTF!”
But not everyone saw it that way. Some defended the lady, saying worship can happen anywhere.

Adeola, a supporter, wrote, “God is everywhere and answers in places you can’t imagine! God is mysterious👌👌. So everywhere give that time to Baba God!”
Another user, Sylvie, added, “Done this countless times.”
Adding humour to the debate, someone joked, “Even God go confuse whether to collect the praise or wait till she reach house.”
The Hallelujah Challenge, started by gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey, is a nightly praise and prayer session that usually takes place online not in a nightclub making the lady’s action even more surprising and entertaining to many.
