Arsenal face Sporting, Liverpool draw PSG

Arsenal will play Sporting CP in the quarter-finals.

The Gunners are still unbeaten this season after beating Bayer Leverkusen 3-1 on aggregate. Eberechi Eze and Declan Rice scored in a 2-0 second-leg win.

Sporting reached this stage after a dramatic comeback, overturning a 3-0 first-leg loss to beat Bodo/Glimt 5-3 on aggregate.

If Arsenal go through, they will face either Barcelona or Atlético Madrid.

Liverpool renew PSG rivalry

Liverpool have been drawn against defending champions Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG knocked Liverpool out last season on penalties and went on to win the title. They arrive in strong form after an 8-2 aggregate win over Chelsea.

The winner of this tie will face either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the semi-finals.

Key ties to watch

PSG vs Liverpool

A repeat of last season’s clash. PSG look in top form, while Liverpool remain dangerous going forward.

Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich

One of the biggest fixtures in European football. Both teams come in strong after dominant last-16 wins.

Barcelona vs Atlético Madrid

Attack vs defence. Barcelona’s goals against Atlético’s discipline.

Sporting CP vs Arsenal

A good chance for Arsenal, but Sporting’s comeback shows they are a threat.

Road to the semi-finals

The draw sets up two different paths.

PSG or Liverpool will face Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.

Barcelona or Atlético Madrid will meet Arsenal or Sporting CP.

The race for the Champions League title is now wide open.
