The British Academy Film Awards has unveiled its 2026 winners, with One Battle After Another dominating the night.
The film picked up six awards, including Best Film and Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson, cementing its status as the ceremony’s biggest success story. I Swear, Sinners and Frankenstein followed with three wins each, while Hamnet secured two major prizes.
The ceremony came weeks after the nominations were announced, a shortlist that sparked intense debate across the industry.
A major highlight of the night was Robert Aramayo, who not only won Leading Actor for I Swear but also claimed the EE Rising Star Award. In doing so, he became the first performer to win both the best newcomer honour and Leading Actor in the same year.
