The Ogun State FRSC Sector Commander, CC Leye Adegboyega, fsi, alongside the Sector Intelligence Officer, paid a visit to the Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Gotan, following viral reports of the disappearance of SRC OO Lasisi, a staff member of RS2.2 Ogun Sector Command.
CP Gotan confirmed that police had arrested a suspected herbalist and ritualist in connection with the case. He immediately directed the Officer-in-Charge of the Kidnapping Unit to report to his office to provide further details.
Investigations revealed that Mr. Victor, a friend of SRC OO Lasisi, had been reported missing by his wife at the Osun State Police Headquarters on 2 November 2025. Phone tracking indicated that Mr. Victor had frequently contacted the suspected herbalist in Iwoye Ijesa, Osun State.
The suspect was apprehended in Iloko Ijesa, Osun State. During questioning, he admitted that SRC OO Lasisi and Mr. Victor had visited him for consultation. He claimed that Mr. Victor and his associates murdered SRC OO Lasisi and dismembered her body, which was later discovered in a sack bag in a river, missing the head.

The herbalist further stated that SRC OO Lasisi’s daughter had stayed with him for several days before being taken away by Mr. Victor and his friends. While the herbalist denied involvement in the killing, he could not confirm the whereabouts of the child or the remaining parts of the body. Authorities believe the child may also have been killed.
Police are now actively pursuing Mr. Victor and his accomplices. DNA and autopsy tests are planned to provide critical evidence, particularly because the body was dismembered and headless. The remains of SRC OO Lasisi were deposited at Osun State Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, on 17 November 2025.
The Osun State Police Command continues to work tirelessly to bring all perpetrators to justice.
