Nigerian man has gone viral after breaking down in tears while narrating how he went from being a millionaire to a beggar following a devastating loss in online forex trading.
In a heartbreaking video shared on social media, the man revealed that his foray into forex trading not only drained his finances but also pushed him into literal isolation, a small property he once bought deep inside a forest now serving as his last refuge.
“I sold all my properties to invest in forex. There was a car I bought for ₦4.8 million, I sold it for ₦3 million in less than three weeks and invested the money. It’s all gone,” he said, visibly emotional.
According to him, he was once financially stable and full of hope. As the first child in his family, he even rented out his late mother’s property for four years, collecting ₦5 million to expand his trading capital. Sadly, the entire investment collapsed, leaving him with nothing.

He recounted that the only possessions he now has are a quad bike and a small parcel of land he purchased four years ago in the forest when he returned from Lagos. His efforts to sell the property have failed because potential buyers consider it too deep in the bush.
“I have nowhere to stay. I can’t collect the family house back. One time a millionaire, I am now the poorest man. This is not comedy or content. It is real life. Only God can help me,” he added.
The man’s emotional confession has sparked widespread reactions online. Many Nigerians expressed sympathy for his plight, while others used his story as a cautionary tale about the dangers of investing one’s entire life savings into high-risk ventures like forex trading.

Another, @abulamosi, wrote with laughter emojis, “God forgive me for laughing.”
User @dizneyx added, “Forex is just like Sportybet. It’s all gambling, but I’ll still choose betting because if my money enter forest, at least I know say na me carry Man U win or draw.”
