Manchester City thrashed Liverpool 4-0 to reach the FA Cup semi-finals, with Erling Haaland scoring a brilliant hat-trick at the Etihad Stadium.
City controlled most of the game and took their chances, while Liverpool failed to make their early pressure count.
The visitors started well and created chances through Mohamed Salah and Hugo Ekitike, but both missed key opportunities.
That proved costly.
City went ahead in the 38th minute after Virgil van Dijk fouled Nico O’Reilly in the box. Haaland converted the penalty with ease.
He made it 2-0 before half-time, heading in a cross from Antoine Semenyo.
City extended their lead early in the second half. Rayan Cherki played Semenyo through, and he chipped Giorgi Mamardashvili to score.
Haaland completed his hat-trick minutes later with a powerful finish, sealing a dominant win.

Liverpool had a chance to respond, but Salah’s penalty was saved by James Trafford after Matheus Nunes fouled Ekitike.
“We were clinical when it mattered,” said City manager Pep Guardiola.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot added: “We started well but didn’t take our chances.”
City move on to the semi-finals and edge closer to another Wembley final. Liverpool now turn their focus to a Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.
