The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a planned three-day power disruption across several areas under the Eko Electricity Distribution Company as it carries out maintenance on the Aja/Alagbon 330 kV transmission line.
According to a notice released on Friday, the scheduled outage will run from 26 to 29 November 2025, affecting parts of Lagos and some communities in Ogun State. The exercise, TCN said, is necessary to enhance the reliability of its transmission infrastructure.
TCN spokesperson, Ndidi Mbah, confirmed that the maintenance will impact Ojo, Festac, Ijora, Mushin (including Orile), Apapa, Lekki (including Ibeju), Lagos Island (including Ajele), and Agbara.
“The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) wishes to inform the public that scheduled maintenance will be carried out on the Aja/Alagbon 330 kV transmission line from November 26 to 29, 2025, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily,” the notice read.

The company explained that the exercise will involve the installation of wave traps on the 330 kV line bays at the Aja and Alagbon Transmission Substations. To minimise disruption, supply from the Alagbon Substation will be diverted to the Ijora 132 kV line, while power to the Akoka and Oworo Transmission Substations will be rerouted to the Ikeja West 132 kV line.
TCN assured consumers that although brief load interruptions may occur, normal electricity supply would largely continue during the maintenance period.
The company apologised for any inconvenience caused, stressing that the scheduled work is part of ongoing efforts to improve efficiency and strengthen the transmission network within Lagos State.
It noted that similar outages were recorded in July and October 2025 when earlier phases of the maintenance project were carried out.
