Delta: Pastor used ‘deliverance prophecy’ to exploit three female church members

The Delta State Police Command has arrested a pastor accused of using so-called “deliverance prophecy” to manipulate and sexually exploit female members of his congregation, including three sisters.

Police spokesperson, Bright Edafe, said the suspect allegedly invited vulnerable members to his church office under the guise of spiritual guidance and deliverance sessions. According to him, officers found that the pastor relied on fabricated prophecies to coerce women into believing they needed private sessions with him to be “delivered.”

He said: “Investigation revealed that the pastor allegedly used fake prophecy to lure vulnerable church members to his church office, coerce them into believing that if them, they would not be delivered.”
