Afrobeat singer David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has denied claims that he owes $50,000 to the event planner of his wedding to Chioma.
The reaction followed reports circulating online that Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, CEO of Zapphaire Events, had accused the singer of failing to pay for services rendered.
The claim, which spread widely on social media, included an alleged chat suggesting the event planner had threatened legal action if the money was not paid within three days.

Responding on X on Sunday evening, Davido wrote, “This is just crazy atp (at this point).”
However, Funke Bucknor, in a post on her Instagram story, dismissed the allegation and the viral screenshot linked to it.
She described the claim as false and misleading, stressing that it did not come from her or her company.
