#BRACRC: Coutinho, Neymar spare Brazil’s blush in hardfought encounter

It looked like another bad day at work for the Samba boys of Brazil as Costa Rica did everything legal to frustrate the perennial champions, until Phillippe Coutinho and Neymar Junior struck after 90 minutes to secure all three points.

Gabriel Jesus had a strike cancelled and another hit the bar in what was a tension soaked match for the whole of 90minutes.

Neymar also had a penalty appeal ruled out, no thanks to the eagle-eyed VAR, just when it looked like another big team fail, Coutinho appeared out of the blues to toe in a mistimed Jesus’ control.

In minutes, Brazil had another counter attack chance to thank with Neymar on hand to apply the finish.

Heroic efforts of Costa Rica keeper, Navas, cannot go unnoticed stopping over 20 shot on goal from the Samba boys.

Meanwhile, Brazilian coach, Tito, missed his balance and rolled on the floor as he celebrates his side’s first goal.
