‘Asking for a friend’, DJ Cuppy reacts to Pastor Adeboye’s upcoming singles prayer

Billionaire daughter and disc jockey, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, has reacted humorously to Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s announcement of a special prayer session for unmarried youths.

Recall that the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, recently revealed plans to hold a nationwide prayer service dedicated to unmarried individuals, mature singles, waiting mothers, and their families.

The announcement, made in Lagos through Oladele Balogun, Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Administration, described the session as a divinely inspired programme aimed at supporting those believing God for marital settlement and the fruit of the womb.

Pastor Adeboye also noted that recent population data shows that singles and mature singles make up more than 40% of Nigeria’s adult population a reflection of the growing number of people seeking marital breakthroughs. He acknowledged the emotional and spiritual journey of waiting mothers across the world, including those within RCCG’s presence in over 190 countries.

The special prayer session is scheduled to hold during the November 2025 Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 2, at 8:00 a.m.

Reacting to the announcement, DJ Cuppy, 32, dropped a playful comment under a related post, writing:

“When? Am asking for a friend.”

Her reaction quickly sparked attention and laughter among fans, with many joining in the lighthearted exchange while others tagged her “the friend” she was referring to.
