Akwa Ibom: Man hospitalised after been beaten by five girls over love betrayal

A young man in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, is currently receiving medical treatment after he was allegedly attacked by his girlfriend and four of her friends following a messy love triangle.

The incident, which has sparked reactions on social media, reportedly occurred shortly after the young woman discovered that her boyfriend had been secretly dating one of her close friends. Sources say the woman had travelled out of town and uncovered the alleged betrayal upon her return.

Angered by the discovery, she allegedly lured the man to a location in Eket, where she and four other girls confronted him. What began as a confrontation reportedly escalated into a physical assault.
